الشوقِ فاضت شفتاهْ 

With love his lips were flowing

للأمةِ قد كان منا

for the Ummah was his goal, 

أن يلقاهم فأحبَُّتهُ

that he meets them as his loved ones 

من صدّقه وما رآه

are those who belived in him but he did not see

والصحابةُ يسألونْ 

The Sahaba were asking 

ومن الإخوانُ الباقونْ

who are the brothers still to come? 

ألسنا نحن المصطفونْ؟

Are we not the chosen ones?

فكان الردُّ ما معناه 

The reply was..

أنتم أصحابي الأبرارْ

You are my righteous companions

وهم الإخوانُ الأخيارْ

and they are my brothers in righteousness

بيضٌ غرٌ كالأطيارْ

white and shiny like birds

وجهٌ حلوٌ ما أنداه

beautiful and sweet how noble

ومن الكوثر يشربونْ

From the fountain of Al Kawthar they will drink

ومن يديَّ ينهلونْ

and from my hands they will take

بعدها لا يظمئونْ

After that they will not be thirsty

فالشكرُ إليك يا الله

, thanks be to you oh my lord

لحبيبي كم أنا مشتاقْ 

For my loved one how much am I waiting for him

رسولي طال الفراقْ

oh my Prophet (pbuh) the separation has been long. 

والشوق قد ملأ الأفاقْ

The yearning for you has filled up the horizon 

وشوقُ القلبِ ما أقساه

and the yearning of the heart is so hard

ودمعَ عيني أذرفُ

The tears of my eyes flow.

والقلبُ حباً يرجفُ

The heart out of love shakes 

وأنا ببابِك واقفُ

and I stand at your doors 

أسألُك ياربي لقياهْ

oh my lord I ask you for me to meet him

عند الحوض يلاقينا

By the Fountain he meets us

ومع الصحب يروينا

and with the companions he quenches our thirst

وللجنات أمانينا 

and for Paradise is our hope

لا تخذلنا يا رباه

so dontforsake us oh our Lord
